Songs that are great, but forgotten. Songs that when you play, someone goes "Oh yea!!! I remember that song!!! It was soooo great...."

Not necessarily oldies, and definetly not the "classics" that are played and mentioned over and over again.

I'll name some esoteric few:

Afrika Bambataa & Soul Sonic Force - Planet Rock
Rockwell ft. Michael Jackson - Somebody's Watching Me
Blur - Girls and Boys
Clash - Magnificent Seven
Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars
U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me (from Batman Forever soundtrack)

:D

Motley Crue - Wild Side
NIN - Ring Finger
Hulk Hogan's theme - I Am A Real American

Those are ones I thought of quickly

d00d, they play "C'mon Eileen" waaayyy toooo much. I do not consider that a "forgotten fave" (since it also was covered by Save Ferris back in '97 i believe?)
"Walking on Sunshine"?!?!?!?!? Are u kidding? That song is freakin' everywhere! They use it in commercials, at parks (well, at Sea World anyways).

Maybe its the fact that half of the radio stations in San Diego play 80s music.... now, watsupwiddat?!?

Well, my "forgotten hits" goes more back into the late 60's and 70's, things by:

The Moody Blues (just about anything)
Chicago (Transit Authority) - 25 or 6 To 4, Beginnings, Listen, many others
Blood Sweat & Tears - Spinning Wheel, And When I Die, You've Made Me So Very Happy

"Just Another Day" by Oingo Boingo. They're the most underrated band there is.

I liked that one, along with a bunch of other 80's hip-hop / rap (of which I can't seem to remember another song... LOL)

For my contribution to the list, how about:

- Rock me Amadeus, by Falco.
