Does anyone love Iron Chef like I do? It's so corny but I can't help but turn it on whenever it's time.

BAMM!!! Emeril is pretty amusing. Ming is pretty good too, but he's kind of a spaz. I watch Iron Chef once in a while too...corny, but I always want to know what they are going to do...is it just me or is there something soothing about watching people cook?

Ming Tsai is probably my favorite current show. He makes some kickass stuff.
Yan Can Cook was a great show! I wish that crazy summunabitch was still on.
Of course, Iron Chef ranks right the hell up there :)
I used to dig Emeril, but the dude's just too much now. I miss the Essence shows, when it was just him and not a silly audience too.

have you seen his sitcom on NBC...my god, quite possibly the worst show i have ever seen. i'm guessing it'll last 2 more weeks before they yank it.
so bad, so very bad
think i can sue NBC for wasting 30mins of my life?

Wow! Who would have thought that the ironchef himself likes Ming's show better than his own :P

think i can sue NBC for wasting 30mins of my life? I believe it was on last night, right? I just had it on in the background and saw the goofy ass amphetamine junky trying to act and found it all very comical. You're right though, 2 weeks, 3 tops till they move something only marginally better in its time slot.
Hey, you get your Tool tickets?

I like Ming 'cause he cooks some killer stuff and that I can replicate. IC is great in its own special way; more of an entertainment thing rather than cooking. Just ask the anemic actress they always have on:
"Hee Hee! Food! I think I ate a piece of rice one when I was a child! Hee Hee!"
See?

The only complaint I have about Ming Tsai's show is that there are too many commericals :pissed:

I found Emeril's sitcom to be pretty humurous, he's not a bad actor. I doubt it will last long before it changes timeslots. It's so hard to have a successful TV show nowadays, almost everything's been done before. You have to be very creative and smart... Oh well...

I liked him better that way too. Now he's just MR.SHOWMANSHIP. He might as well change his name to WAYNE NEWTON and move to vegas.
I hate that Mario Vitali guy. He gives us italians a bad image. He is ALWAYS WIPING HIS nose on the back of his hand and not washing it and then mixes up food. He's an arrogant son-oma-beech and he thinks he's all that. His food is gross too. I'll take my own cooking over his. I'm sure it's far more authentic.

I just like Ming Tsai's knife. Ceramic *gurgle*. Father just got one, almost sliced the shiot out of my finger when I was home last.
Iron Chef, all goddamn day long. They have a similar thing going on PBS, except it just looks crappy.

I dig Iron Chef. Also there's a show on Wed. nite called "Good Eats"--sort of a mad professor-type show. Sort of silly, but very interesting. I also used to watch "Taste", but I don't think it's on anymore.

That would apply to just about any properly trained cook who happens to be Chinese. :)
