So I'm not a HUGE baseball fan, but I've been following Barry in this last series with the Astros. Every time they would cut away to ESPN, the opposing pitchers would not pitch anywhere near the strike zone. He finally got a pitch when the 'stros had the game in hand and knocked it out.

So for you folks in Cali, will the Dodgers give him anything in the strike zone so he can break the record? The Dodgers are eliminated in the playoffs so they have nothing to lose or win. Is the rivalry strong enough to walk him all the time, or will Chan Ho groove him one like he did Cal Ripken in the all-star game?

yeah. I'm not a huge baseball fan, but damn this guy's good. I'd be interested in watching the Dodgers game against him. When is it?

First of all, Chan Ho Park served one to Cal Ripken not because he wanted to hook the old boy up during the All Star Game, he served it up because he is a gutless nincompoop and he didn't know any better. Its a shame that Chan Ho is demanding a 12 mil a year salary after a less than stellar season with the LA Chokers I mean Dodgers....

At any rate, Barry will get his chance now that the Dodgers don't have a chance. It's up to Barry to see when he will hit it since the Dodger pitching is weak these days. I hope he hits it soon though, so we don't have to see Barry's kids throwin up signs saying "Throw a strike you arsehole" like they did last few games. :D

More importantly...

I saw Rickey Henderson become the All Time Runs Scored leader today. Check it out:
