they seem to be taking thisn to a little bit of an extreme... even if they believe the bible teaches against "non-straight" couples, it doest tell anyone to go commit hate crimes now-a-days, or to prophesize or interpret that such-n-such a tragedy was an act of God because of a specific thing...

(in the old-testament days, the two cities of Sodom and Ghomora(sp?) were destroyed with fire and brimstone - a specific act of God, not of terrorists. But in those days, God directly judged people w/o mercy. Currently we are in a "period of grace" where God allows eveyone to do more or less anything they want to... for the time being at least.)

and no, i dont go around gay bashing, even if i do believe its a bad thing. I have to simply say that as U.S. citizens, well, i guess its their "right" if they want to be "gay". All i ask is that they just dont start hitting on me :puke:

they're pretty much barred from any church across america...
instead they go to funerals of gay people, and bash them...
simply:
"A hate group masquerading as a Christian church. Lead by the Rev. Phelps, members of this church target homosexuals with messages of hate. The church's website, www.godhatesfags.com, is listed as a hate site by many internet watchdog organizations"

Another take on Soddom and gomorrah (http://www.fallwell.com/sodom.html)
"...Jesus Christ Himself interpreted the story of Sodom to denounce the sin of pride and inhospitality. Jesus repeatedly made reference to the story of Sodom and Gomorrah when He sent his disciples out to preach the gospel. See Matthew 10:5-15, Mark 6:7-11, and Luke 10:10-12..."

sorry folks that think otherwise....but god (and i am not taking a stance here on my theological beliefs) said a lot more than what is in the now whittled-down-by-the-church bible. people decided what you should be able to read and what you shouldnt. oops....power in the wrong hands, perhaps?

and anyone that thinks being gay is wrong...isn't that just fine and dandy to be able to think someone's existence is wrong? i don't mean someone who flies an airplane into buildings, either. i am talking about people who are not hurting you or anyone else. how would it feel to have people think that your preference is wrong? talk about judgemental....

and i dont want a homosexual hitting on me, either. but just think how many dont. they can tell if you're straight, and they tend to not hit on the "breeders." those that do...well...like the saying about "it doesnt hurt to try."...meaning from their standpoint there is little chance of success if they try, but no chance if they dont. in the end, just say no and move on. no sense being a big baby about it.
