Just wanted to make a thread in honor of the great Rickey Henderson, who yesterday set the all time run record at home in San Diego. I was lucky enough to see it happen live, and I have to admit I was getting a little choked up. If you know anything about baseball you know that Rickey is quite a character. He likes to refer to himself in the 3rd person. Like, "Rickey don't like going out on the field after its rainin'. Rickey's cleats always get messed up..." :)

Anyways, cheers to you Mr. Henderson. Thanks for making yesterday a very special day for me, and 22,000 other San Diego fans.

and to top it off, he slid into home....(he said he would slide into home on his record breaking run a while ago).

Now if he'll just get 2 more hits (3000 club), he can finally retire! :)

Rickey is pretty damn good.

So is Barry gonna hit 71? Certainly is possible...
