she didnt call, so i made dinner for myself...

so i call Heather today aroudn noon:30 (she gets off work at noon) and ask if she's had lunch... Yep. (bummer for me) So i ask her if she wants to go look at a couple of boats with me... She says she's gonna drive to this little town about 45min away, to pick up a gal-friend so she can come back, stay over and then go to church in the morning.

I know the gal, shes legit, and ill se her in church tomorrow too, so its not like she making it up or anything.

So i say "well, call me if yall want to do something later tonight".

ok, so i dont get a call by 7pm, so i head out to a movie (mentioned in my other thread). about 9:45 (movie is almost over) she calls, and i let it go to voicemail. I check my messages later, and she's left this LONG-assed message saying she's sorry for not calling earlier, and that they went to a sale at a mall or something in the other little town, etc...

so anyway, that was my saturday night. :)

oh, and i looked at a boat earlier today - pretty good lookin.
and i cleaned my car.
and moved a table into my apt.
and re-arranged the furniture .
and cleaned my kitchen.
and vaccumed.
and cooked dinner for myself - shrimp, and a piece of juicy ham w/ cheese on top :chef::drool::lick::munch:

boy nano, you were productive today weren't you. Too bad she didn't call, I think we all know how it feels to wait for someone to call you. I need to learn how to cook, I've been wathing cooking shows like the ironchef and a plethora of others but its kinda hard to keep up with what they're doing. cooking shrimp is the EASIEST thing in the world...

get shrimp
run shrimp under water for 5min if frozen (in collendar)
meanwhile, boil a pan of REALLY salty water, and maybe oregano/whatever other spice you like.
when boiling, toss shrimp in water.
let boil like 90secs or so.
stop, rinse shrimp off a little (or even server in the pan if you have really big shrimp).
eat

and yeah, i was quite productive.

i even stopped by my brothers place, and he was pouring some concreet for a new gate post or something, so i helped w/ that for like an hour or two.

oh yeah, i never can get enough salt in the water... it always looks like its gonna be brimy, but the shrimp always come out w/o enough salt.

If they know you're waiting for their call, the least they can do is call you early and let you know that they can't make it. It's the worst when you could have been doing better things and you don't make plans cause you're waiting this girl to call. At least you were smart enough not to wait too long and go out to a movie instead. So many night have I spent just waiting for a girl to call (cause she said she would) and ending up not being able to do anything cause she either calls really late and says "it's a little late so let's do something next time" or forgets to call completely. It's not like you can call her up and ask what's going on cause then you look desperate. You just have to sit and wait.... Then the next day she apologizes and asks you what you ended up doing you have to pretend to not be a loser and tell her you "went out with other friends." And, it's the worst when it's somebody you like too.

shrimp are the garbage-men of the water-world... kinda like aquatic pigs, which is something else that doesnt get eaten for religious reasons i believe.

u, well, i was quite productive all day long, and actually figured i Wouldnt get a call, so never really planned on doing anythin w/ her, ALTHOUGH, i had a contingency plan in case she DID call. I was gonna take her and her friend to the new movie Serendipity - Its a real chick-flick, and i think they woulda've liked it...

damn.,.... so like 4 of us guys, and a couple of gals are eating at Chilies tonight... Heather was invited, but stayed home w/ her friend from the other town, helped her do laundry (her friend is a college student), study, etc... So, since Heather got invited, she felt bad for staying home, so she sends her roommate (who is also her brother-in-law's sister).

well, 3/4 of teh way through dinner (and this girl TALKS like nobody's business, NON-stop) she starts asking me why it is I'm always over at her apt... and I'm like "cause i like your dog" or "cause my weekends would be booring if not" and stuff like that... well the little B***c keeps asking like almost 9 or 10 times!

so i finally say, well why dont YOU tell me why I'm over there soo much (and I've only been there like 4 times). And she's like "i think you like Heather blah blah blah"... and then all the guys start makin' jokes, and all this "i didnt konw you were going out w/ her" or "are you guys really serious?"... etc.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I sooo wanted to slap that little mouth on that chick.

So then i was like "Thanks for starting a rumor, - they spread really fast in our church"... and she's like "oh, well i didng know" and of course, thats EXACTLY why she did it.


If those guys have any sense in they'll keep their mouthes shut.

If this **** gets back around to heather, shes either gonna be really mad, or happy, but I'm betting on her being mad.

Ok man, I'm not sure what the situation is here, but I'm gonna assume that you like this Heather girl. (Or else, you wouldn't be posting threads like this about her.)

yo I think you're worrying too much. Why would anybody be mad when they found out that somebody liked them. If anything she will be flattered. Although at first it's always sort of embarassing for somebody to find out that you like them, in the end it always works out for the better. If she has ANY feelings for you then this is gonna work towards your advantage. REASON: I think that often the thing that works against speedy progress in relationships is that both people WAIT for the other side to show affection before they do, because they're afraid of rejection. They want a little reassurance that it's a MUTUAL thing before they make their moves. In this case the "rumor" (a true one to be exact) is gonna let her know how you feel. If she actually gets mad (:rolleyes: heavens...) then at least you'll know that she's a weird girl. If she doesn't show any negative feelings, then you'll know it's safe to make some more forceful approaches. Hell, she might even make moves on you FIRST!!! Just keep cool and let things flow. It should work out fine.

A: I've been taking her out to dinner/movie for the last 6 months or more, but just as friends....

B: Everytime theres a rumor in our church, it totally screws up the peoples relationship.

C: I'm not really ready to make my move.

D: I'm sure as hell not ready to go "public" with it.

E: And i would rather get turned down privately, and me or her save face, than to make it known to the whole church, and then if and when it doesnt work out, then its another "story" that goes around at church, and somebody gets pinned with a bad rap-sheet.

F: Its not the rommates ****ING business what I'm doing over there. She needs to STFU, especially in front of MY friends.

G: I'm not even gonna call next week, well, not if i hear ANYTHING about this at church. I'm ****ing tired of all these rumors going aroudn at church, and if i hear any of teh such, i'll basically say, "yeah, i WAS interested, until everyone started spreading a rumor, and since yall started the rumor, out of spite, i'm not gonna do ANYTHING." And then MAYBE in a few weeks pick up where we left off as just friends.

man..I just can't tell what's going on... the situation is just as complicated and unclear as your emotions... It's probably because I haven't read all your posts, but I can't even tell if you like this girl... Well, that disqualifies me from giving any more advice I guess, hehe...:D I'll just tell you this one last thing. Just keep cool and patient and things should work out as long as you don't show people that you're freaking out over anything. Have you ever seen the movie, "The Tao of Steve?"
