hmmm this looks like the cnn website. I clicked on the cnn.com link at the top and the homepage looks legit. I still don't believe this though. I haven't heard it anywhere else.

The cause of the accident is still officially unknown, but witnesses on the scene have told CNN that Timberlake, who was behind the wheel of the vehicle, may have been under the influence of controlled substances, and that Spears may have been engaged in activities that may have distracted him from the road.
haha sounds a little overdone. Like someone is trying too hard. How could they duplicate the cnn website though and have links to it and junk? Weird.

hmmm apparently nefertiti hasnt gone through puberty yet, otherwise she'd prolly realise that a girl can grow in the 3 or 4 years seperating the pics. yeah not that I'm interested in her boobs (REALLY??) but all the videos and pics where she has greakin melons are probably the result of padding. One of her more recent videos (a slow song, I don't know the title) where she's just wearing a thin tanktop on the beach, shows that her breasts are not "Huge" at all. They look quite normal to me. You do realize that all "they" do is give the people what they want and clamor for, as is evident by years of sales research.

Yes, I agree that the large studios with the longest reach to the average consumer exist solely to make money. They have no interest in new music, or even good music (because who's measuring stick are you going to use to determine that?), or even complex music (because lots of people don't "get" experimental or classical works). They are interested in selling albums. They are a business. Capitalism and all that. You don't have to buy into it. I sure don't. There are plenty of great musicians and killer tunes available to anyone willing to sniff around a little bit and look amongst smaller labels and distributors (sure this ain't new to you, right?). But a lot of people like a tune, but aren't so committed to it that they want to put the time in to find and appreciate music in a more discerning or analytical fashion. Their just happy with some background music. So, the rubes get the easy chaff and the committed and harder-working can wade through to the cream. That's part of the beauty of the free market.

So I guess my point is don't let these people upset you, because in reality they are just a mirror of what we want. Unless you're prepared to just be down on society as a whole. "They" is really just "us," when you think about it.

Well, I don't think we'll have to worry about it much longer. I've always been of the mind that prosperity, while good for feeding people, is lousy for the music business. Why? Well, if you had a choice between honing your craft and living in a ****ty basement apartment penning music or working for an internet start up shelling out millions for pretty much nothing, you'll grab the cash. But when people actually emote, when they actually have something that moves them to sing about it, that's when we really hear the good stuff. It is no coincidence that many of the best enduring talents today sprang from the early 90's recession.

Rampant, unrepentant prosperity is still a dream for most people. Once they start identifying with the Kurt Cobain's of the world again, the cream will rise to the top.

I agree with your premises, but I'd say that even in these prosperous days there are those that are emoting for one reason or another. There are still people who are absolutely confused or mystified or inspired or elated by existence and reality. I see them every day, and I'm sure you do, too. It just takes more work to find the ones who SING about it when most people are too busy making money.

Good point, and I think that The new "music" is a big part that shows the crap direction our society is heading. I do look down on society as a whole, it has gotten pretty bad. But I shouldn't get annoyed so much. There really is no point...it won't change anything.
