McDonald's apple pie.

Yes, another fast food post...
but i had Mcdonald's for lunch today, and it's on my mind :)

Anyways, anybody remember their apple pies that were Deep fried, not baked???? (i swear that I posted something about this before, but a search turned up nothing, and i feel strongly enough about this that I feel like i need to post it again, if i already mentioned this.).

well, anyways....I think their DEEP FRIED apple pies were SOOOO much better...

also, the reason they switched to 'baked' apple pie is that the public's view of deep fried apple pies were negative. but in reality (this is from a friend, not sure if it's correct), their deep fried junks actually had less fat & cholestorol than their baked stuff.

also, is anyone from the south???
I've heard that they still have deep fried apple pies in the south, and was wondering if there was any truth to that rumor...

Ya man, their apple pies used to be awesome. I don't know about deep fried apple pies but I live in texas and one of my friends grandmother lives in a HICK town called Silsby. I went there for a family reunion and every single piece of food was deep fried. I'm suer they have deep fried apple pie.

I think they actually stopped deep frying them because people kept getting burned with the filling.
