I went to one 2 years ago along with my school, it's called Roatan and it's located in Honduras. It's one of the best places to go snorkeling, which I did a lot of. It was really beautiful, truly an amazing and humbling place to go. So any of you guys been to a tropical island?

Hmm... I've been to:

Hawaii: Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Big Island

Bahamas: New Providence, Paradise Island

British West Indies: Anguilla, St. John's

I have been to Aruba, BVI (Antigua, Tortola, Beef Island, Jost Van Dyke, Little Van Dyke, among others), and all of the Florida keys.

BVI was awesome, I spent about 6 weeks there, just sailing around on a Moorings 50 (50ft sail yacht) Some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I definitely am going to get back there as soon as I can do it right.

Aruba was nice but then again I went there a long time before it became popular. I think it was 1982 or 1983. I remember there being lots of great watersports and interesting wildlife.

Just Oahu. But the little I did see was just amazing.

I hope to make enough to afford a cruise later in life, maybe for a honeymoon like Apex did.

Damn all you lucky bastardos!! the closest thing I've visited to a tropical island is the fruit juice section at my local grocery store. One day, I swear!! ONE DAY!!!

Malaysia is kinda tropical, and is almost an island? Didn't have fun tho, we were fleeing from some pirates (real ones) :johnwoo2:

Wow a lot of you guys went, I had a really fun time in Roatan. If you guys saw a picture of 2 blue barrels outside of a house, well that's where we showered. Fun huh?

I barely took any pictures with me in it, but in gallery 3 next to the sunset picture :) there's a picture with me slapping another guy or something. As for my sig... well... ssshh don't tell anyone...

edit: heh just saw the pic, no slapping was done, just a "hold". Lets go home people, nothing to see here, break it up.

Yup, we packed all our things into the deathtrap and (as I was told) set sail for America :rolleyes: We outran (?) the first Pirate ship but got caught by the second one. The only thing I remember was being pissed because I hadn't ate anything all day, and they took all our food. :angry: Captain Blackbeard (without the beard, as few Asians can grow one) was standing our bow singing something, and I wanted to deck him. Lucky I dint.

I was born in Japan, lived there for about 2 years... don't remember a thing.

The thing is, after a while I stop swinging either way, then my friend has to come and give me another push. This, of course, is when I'm on the swings. As for the girl in the picture, no. I laughed my ass off when I read the name you saved the pic as.

Get this my aunt has had 4 jobs since graduating from college. Two were for holels as sales directors and others were working for the government of Aruba and the Cayman Islands were she is currently employed. Poor thing has to spend about two or three months out of the year enertaining folks there all on the Islands tab.

I guess ive had some exp with tropical islands
Visited Hawaiian Islands:
Oahu and Maui ^^
Lived on the big island of Oahu :o
Spent a weekend at Catalina :)
Born on a not so tropical island: the United Kingdom :P
California has a lot of places that are "island like" and Florida is also ok for the mainland.

... and i used to watch a lot of Gilligans Island
