Thought I might come hang out over here away from the testerone in our militant young men on the other boards.......
To start things off, anyone want to share experiences of their worst blind date?
For me, it would have to be when a co-worker set me up with an ACLU lawyer with an attitude. I should have known we would not be compatible from the get-go, but you live and learn. I was willing to get through the night, but we almost came to blows over dessert as we discussed the merits and dangers of the death penalty. HE ended up storming out when we got to the "necessary use of police force", and stuck me with the check (schmuck - although we had agreed to split it)and a cab ride home :P but that was just fine. Anyone else?

You know, I am trying to think of a blind date... I don't remember having one. So, maybe I did, and forgot it?

I never had a blind date either... Now, worst DATE ever? Well, let's see. I was a junior in hs and was dating a 21-year-old that lived in OKC, about 45 minutes away. We had gone out once before but had talked every night & day on the phone for weeks. Anyway, we had made plans for me to drive to the city and meet him a couple of blocks from his dad's work, where he was helping for the day. (His parents hadn't been told about me - that should give you some clue as to what kind of ****head he was...) I sat there and waited for almost 2 hours before finally starting to drive around and paging him. I FINALLY got ahold of him and he met me out in the parking lot. He broke up with me as we were driving around.

The worst one i had was when they blindfolded me and hung me from a tree. then kids beat me profusely until i crapped my pants... oh, no wait. That was the dream i had last night. come to think of it, i've never had a blind date. :(

This doesn't fall under worst blind date, but more like only blind date ...
I flew 15,000 miles to meet my current bf, and I'd only seen photos ... how blind is that? :P

15k miles? dang...that's a lot. Why fly half way around the world for a boyfriend? Aren't there a lot where you live? :D
My current "girlfriend" is sorta a blind date. Similar to juju's except i flew 3k miles. :P

Mine was when I got set up with this "georgous" guy about 24. Girls, the car rolls up to pick me up and out comes one of Tony Soprano's cousins. I love Italians don't get me wrong but this guy was wearing a suit with gold chains all over the place and you know he was nice. So we went to the club and he ended up leaving me there :bawl: I had to call a cab.. But the thing about it, he thought he was the ****.

I think because I wasn't hanging all over him. From the converstation in the car all the way to the club I kinda had a feeling what he liked. I then proceeded to kick my friends butt for setting me up with him :P

i've been on two, and the dates weren't particularly terrible, but i can't same about the guys.
my friend set me up w/ this kid who he worked with, and we actually went out a few times and i thought he was cool. that is until i realised that he didn't have a brain of his own, and that is was a total moron. he would have all these "media is controlling us" and "don't trust the government" speils, and what he had to say seemed interesting, at least. so then, he lends me this magazine that he likes to read, and he just repeated exactly what this magazine said. which i thought was quite ironic, considering the subject.
and the other kid i went out with was just kinda a dork. he was nice, but i was BORED.

I have had a couple of those. The last guy I dated was really nice and cute but boring as crap. I have never really had an actual relationship just a few dates...although I am only 20. None of them were particularly "bad", but the only one I really enjoyed was with this guy who was totally hot (I normally don't use that word, but he was.) That was just feelings of lust though, haha.
So anyway, back to the topic at hand, I have never been on a blind date. The closest thing I had to one was my friend setting me up with this jacka$$ to go to prom with me. I met him at my surprise 18th b-day party and he was a total jerk (and he was ugly and liked my friend. She tried to fix everyone up with her leftovers). I killed the whole prom date idea right away and just went with friends.

When I was a sophomore in high school I went on a blind date to a homecoming dance with a guy who I had met on a BBS. It was his school's dance, in the next town over. His name was Leroy Brown - no joke. Anyway, I get to his house and his parents start taking pictures of us like crazy. He goes to put the corsage on me and he has totally deformed hands - something he hadn't mentioned before we met. It turns out that this is his first date ever, and so his dad rented a limo for the occasion. We get to the dance and all the teacher chaperones are coming up to us to tell him how glad they are to see him at the dance. I think he was a bit "slow" if you know what I mean, and he'd made buddies with all of the teachers. Luckily a friend of mine was also at the dance, because her boyfriend went to that school, so we had some other people to hang out with that night. I didn't go on any more dates with him, but I let him down easy - I felt sorry for the guy.
