Hey guys.

Whats MB(ABIT, SuperMicro, Iwill) is good for VIDEO edititng?
I was looking for a DUALLY.
Does anyone here do video editing?
Is RAID recommended? Is IDE RAID sufficient?
Any ideas?

As for hardware, what processor? PIII is sufficient. Supermicro makes good dually's.

IDE raid is sufficient and very effective, but there are a/v hard drives that don't spin down... that is the way to go. Normal hard drives say 'X' amount of rpm's, but that is their peak. A/V drives are made to edit video and don't spin down. Not quite as important as it sounds with a fast cpu and good well refined system.
