Newest annoying email hoax received from about 400 ppl today
Hi All -
I think you all know that I don't send out hoaxes and don't do the reactionary thing and send out anything that crosses my path. This one, however, is a friend of a friend and I've given it enough credibility in my mind that I'm writing it up and sending it out to all of you.
My friend's friend was dating a guy from Afghanistan up until a month ago. She had a date with him around 9/6 and was stood up. She was understandably upset and went to his home to find it completely emptied. On 9/10, she received a letter from her boyfriend explaining that he wished he could tell her why he had left and that he was sorry it had to be like that. The part worth mentioning is that he BEGGED her not to get on any commercial airlines on 9/11 and to not to go any malls on Halloween. As soon as everything happened on the 11th, she called the FBI and has since turned over the letter.
This is not an email that I've received and decided to pass on. This
came from a phone conversation with a long-time friend of mine last night. I may be wrong, and I hope I am. However, with one of his warnings being correct and devastating, I'm not willing to take the chance on the second and wanted to make sure that people I cared about had the same information that I did.

So far, exactly zero. But I haven't checked my mail today so that might have something to do with it...

Now I realize that the people that come up with these things are probably very nice. They help the elderly cross the street and what not...but !@#$, the violations of the Geneva Convention I'd like to committ on these idiots sometime for increasing the stupidity of the general population and wasting that 10 seconds of my time.
Is this wrong of me?

I received it today from a friend and then I showed it to some people at work. The thing about the Halloween connection and the malls could be legit, since it is an occultic holiday.

I called that number (it used to be my area code, and when they split it into two, we don't have to pay to call it). I got no ring, or anything, just a disconnected type beep. Y'know, like you expect a 'This number is no longer in service" message. oh well.

This is the best internet hoax I've seen:
All,
There is another scam going on out there. You should send this to any women you know and care about.
If a man comes to your door and says he is conducting a survey and asks you to show him your boobs, DO NOT SHOW HIM YOUR BOOBS.
This is a scam. He is only trying to SEE YOUR BOOBS.
I wish I heard about this before. Boy do I feel stupid!
Please help spread the word.

Probably just an attempt to further disrupt the economy. Take a day of sales away from malls . . . see how retailers like that.

I thought about the same thing. It's probably about one of the slowest nights of the year for them. Of course, the terrorists' attacks on the WTC weren't at a very "ideal" time, either, so I guess we can't take too much comfort in the sensibility of their timing.

Now everyone is getting all "panicky" over a seemingly "hoax" e-mail. Geez, what next... people sayin' not to buy groceries due to an "anthrax" scare? Where does it end!!!!
I actually heard a discussion on the radio this morning concerning the need to insure safety in our food supply.

Halloween is Celtic or Wiccan. Not "occultic".
