Since I have about another hour until my shuttle comes and picks me up, I decided to get on G|A here at school. The only problem is that the only open lab uses Sun Ultra 5 stations. Heh, I succesfully started up IE and although the computer threw all that it got at me trying to confuse me, I still managed to get on G|A. Bwahahaha take that Sun. Anyway... now I don't know how to log out...

Actually I finally found the log out button, but it kept giving me errors :( so i had to turn off the computer and turn it back on. Kinda embarrasing cuz the room was full of upperclasmen programmers and the computer made a loud beeping sound when its restarted. Oh well, learn something everyday...

"halt" in a terminal didnt work? that would be the linux way....or "exit" just to close your X session. if it was linux, you could also just do a ctrl+alt+backspace to restart the X session. since it wasnt, the keyboard commands would be different. you may have to be admin to halt, anyways, unless you have that permission set up.

aside from the whole sun dilly, other ways to open consoles would be the virtual consoles (ctrl+alt+f1 or whatever), or various commands depending on your GUI.
