I think it will be great since it's the only card with a watercooled solution. Ultimately it's going to be the fastest ti500 available and that fact will sure make it popular..

I would just like to point out that NVmax is not going shareware-as-such, meaning it will never time out or reduce functionality.

There are too things that are now different.

1) There is a 3 second functionality delay on program startup that will nag the user to register, but they dont have too.

2) License denies Vendors to ship NVmax with there video cards without paying for registrations beforehand.

We will probably release a PR soon regarding our new 3DPower-NVmax coalition but I can confirm that a full registered, customised NVmax will be shipping with their cards.

I think it's great, and brave of a card company to try such a niche market product themselves. Pricing level will be intersting to watch.

Funny to read that their cooler fit's all but the Asus so far, where as both of mine, required the Asus card for mounting without card modifications. (homemade MkII pictured),

It's also not the first or only GF3 solution, (although it's the first for reference designs and by a card company).

I do have one question regarding this whole setup. I think its great they are trying to deploy a water cooling setup WITH the card...something which hasnt been done by a video card manufacturer before...but my one concern goes with any/all current water cooling setup...there are always those small changes of water leaking...what is the company doing in response to the possibility of this? Do they keep the card and the water cooler under warrenty if this happens?

On another note...great job - can't wait to see it hit shelves.

actually... with any kind of modification, addon, etc, etc ,etc... companies are never responsible with the the resule. like overclocking, once that is done warrenty is void. so when it comes to water cooling.. they dont hold any resposibility of what is being done. I think when sell this product, they are going to print a fat page of disclosers. in simple term, the person is taking their own risk, if it screw up. too bad too sad

Well, I have the same concerns as dvmcbride. I just don't like the idea of putting anything liquid inside my system... except for the occational hot-chocolate, but that is only on really cold mornings! :D

Seriously though, if water coolers do start to become standard fair, I think it will probably be the cooling companies' responsibility to replace damaged parts. Just like surge protectors, the water cooler should have to come with a warranty that protects against damage to a system. And that shouldn't count against overclocking, because you are overclocking the card, not the water cooler!!! hehe, this is, of course, unless the Vid Card company puts the cooler on themselves. Then they'll be responsible...

I've been using water cooling on my cpu for a quite long time and now I'm going to change same stuff to my gpu just to cut some noise caused by that merciless and sucky hsf they are used install on nowadays boards.

I can say that watercooling is not anyhow riskier than aircooling if you make everything the right way. When you use hsf, there's always risks of a heatsink dropping if it's installed with a poor clamp. Also the fan won't last forever.

Okay, now you could say that if the water breaks out your whole system will break down. Well, let me tell you that conductivity of distilled water is nonexistent and same thing with glycol which is usually used as an additive. The probability of such an accident is negligible and it can only occur if either hoses or the block breaks. The joints can be done so well by suffusing the gap with some glue or silicone paste that it's impossible for the water to come through.

So I can say that such a system is probably a quite good solution although the radiator looks like a cheap crap. I suggest that you buy a separate block, hoses, pump and a good radiator from a car and build your system up yourself. You also can make the system without a radiator if you have some amount of water in some bucket. That'll make the system a bit cheaper.

I wouldn't be worried about the water shorting out the system. I would just be worried about the corrosion that it might cause...
