Well today I led my family to Kmart to get in on that Hoover vacuum deal and after we got the vacuum we walked over to the register to pay. Well, I noticed that the manager walked away so we walked over to the counter and the cashier started to scan the items. The thing is that Kmart made an advertising error and so she had to adjust the price on the vac for like 100 bucks less. Some managers in other kmarts kinda disapprove of doing that, especially when the cashier does not consult him first. Well anyways, after she put in the price, my dad went on to point to the big sign on the wall saying that if the scanned price is higher than the advertised price, they'll take an additional $3 off. Well, she kinda goofed and took off $4. Then we left.

I really felt bad for her, I hope the manager won't get pissed or anything. I mean, sure its a good thing that I got a $260 vac for $165 but damn, I'm gonna be real sad if she gets in trouble. She was kinda cute too...

Go back WITHOUT YOUR FAMILY and talk to her and let her know how you feel. You can't change the bill anymore, but you might get a date for being a nice guy.

Would you really wanna date someone working at K-Mart?

Hey!! I work in a mailroom!!! (and this time I'm DEAD SERIOUS!!) Just as a side note, it's a mail shipment room for one of the science departments at my school. We get all these shipments of weird chemicals and stuff for the professors' lab experiments. In light of recent events, I always find myself wondering, "do any of these boxes look suspicious?"

Didn't mean to offend anyone. Just that K-Mart stores around here are kinda, well, ****ty.

so far, thankfully...the scariest thing about it though is that I have to cut open all the boxes as soon as we receive them to check if the proper items were shipped...

I like K-mart! :) so long as they have Lay-a-way I like any store. I can remember (way back when) when the blue light specials were actually under a blue light..it used to be fun to go to the big K....one of the employees would guard the little cart with the blue light on it and then they would pick something to use for the sale...(sometimes cheap jewelry, or socks, or sometimes a whole table full of various things)then the store operator would announce "blue light special in 5 minutes" and everyone would stop dead in their tracks trying to see over racks to where they put the blue light (turned off at this point)then they would ring the "blue light special buzzer" and everyone would make a mad dash to the sale area-AND PRACTICALLY kill each other to get at the stuff. It was so much fun. But they don't do that now from what I heard because so many people used to slip and fall and get hurt in the stampede. (I said I HEARD it...it's not necessarily true though)

Yeah, I remember the portable "mars light" blue light carts. A few months ago the K-Marts in my area actually installed new "blue light special" areas, with a cylindrical blue screen hanging from the ceiling that has two rotating spots that shine out from the center. They locate the "specials" on wheeled carts beneath it. I was in one not long ago when the lights were spinning and the "blue light special" was being announced.
