What do you do for a living?

Alright, I'm about to go to work at my lame job. I work at the front desk in my dorm which is fun, but doesn't pay much. ANyway, I was wondering what kinds of jobs people have here at G|A. I know we've got a lot of students too. What jobs do y'all have?

I'm an unemployed student. Moved away to College and stretched the parental umbilical cord a bit farther ;).

I am a part time testing center assistant and secretary at one of my schools (I go to University of MD University college and a community college. I work at the community college). It beats flipping burgers, but lately I have been hating it more and more.

I am a graduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park. I TA 250 freshmen general chemistry and do research on the fascinating world of polymer thermodynamics.

My experience has been mostly in Software Engineering. I've worked in medical research, developed factory CNC controls, developed factory control systems, message switches, worked with database and related transaction processing software, worked with software controlling coordinate measuring machines. Now I specialize in the software running on non-contact measuring machines (that measure down to .01 microns).

Right now, I am specializing in behavior modifications of a certain preschool male. Along with duties in household maintainance, accounting, budgeting and psychology.

I am also currently on a break from GGD.

I used to work for UPS in Tech support at 2nd level working with sql databases and access databases.
Before that, I worked at various restaurants and Glik's. This is the first time I haven't worked outside the home since I was 15.

and although i'm currently unemployed, my i have high chances of getting a job at a science museum as a demonstrator, and possible also an ITV science teacher.

a student also working as software developer for CERT (those people who deal with all them viruses and whatnot), a computer technician and a computer consultant, and a computer technician again.....

also, a tutor, a Manager of Technology, and all these other jobs that are meaningless.

I write specs for all kinds of trucks and on/off road equipment for a large State Highway Department. Kinda neat because I am always learning how to tackle problems with new technology. We have some of the best equipment in the nation.
