Argh! I hate this cable modem thing. It doesn't have the massive slowdown issues, but there are connection and router reliability issues. My RR was just down for 1 hour because their router was acting odd. I wish I was back on DSL

In NY RR rules beby!! They have Toshiba modem though. As for Cox Cable, I know in Arizona, some people are not so happy about it.

Yea in NY it friggin rules, plus i am one hop away from em, and i get 2.5 mbits since they just raised it by .5 MBits... i was never more happy with any other service and we do have toshiba modems.
No complaints from RR in Austin, TX. And COX cable in some parts of texas I have heard is terrible.

Road Runner Austin sucks.. it's slow and they dont have any other modems beside the (discontinued) 3com (#3CR29223). Anyone who wants to can shut your modem off.

pac bell dsl through sbc in escondido...im using it thru a netgear router, and everything works pretty great on the dsl side...there have only been 2 times where i didnt get a connection for a long period of time, and that was when almost all of california was down. about getting credit on the bill though...customer service sucks, so i couldnt really call in to tell them to credit me without waiting 2 hours, so i said screw it, since it would be forl ike $2
