How can I change the bitrate (96kbs) of a song to atleast 128kbs

take your legal copy of the song, and re rip and make sure it doesn't go anywhere near the internet.... :)

you CAN change the bitrate... but the quality of the 128k mp3 will just be worse than the original. It would be helpful if we knew why you wanted to do it.

whats wrong?? can't burn 96k mp3's? just turn it into a wav file

When using NERO...it gives you an unsupported media type error msg

you cant chage encoding quality because you would need to add more bits and bytes to make it better quality just like you can stop quality reduction in digital zoom because all your doing is enlarging pixels, same with mp3s and bitrate you would have to add more bits and bytes to get higher bitrate, ok well im starting to make no sense to myself

are you sure the mp3 is 44khz? Thats usually the problem.

Dude personally i don't burn any mp3's unless they are at least 192, but then again i like my music to be good quality... in any case go to gnuttella or i dunno some other place and download that song again
