Ok, I suppose I can understand the yawn if you're not a sim fan. I'm one of those though, so this is almost Mecca. ;) Also, being a pilot myself, I know there isn't a better sim out there for the $$.

To answer M_A_C, it's Microsoft's newest version of one of the oldest games out there - Flight Simulator. You have to admit, this game/sim has had quite a half-life.

Well, since I'm the one who snapped that screenshot I guess I get to defend it. Yes I was the pilot & yes that's posted on my site. No it's not too close to the Statue of Liberty.

From this point of view perhaps it does look precariously close to our dear Statue. In reality, I was a good mile or so clear of her when that shot was taken. Because of the zoom-out & pan-angle I used, I suppose one could get a different feel for the distance involved here.

Boy do I wish I had an affiliation w/ M$ - heck, I wasn't even chosen to beta test this release. I just happen to be a pilot myself, and anything I can do on the ground that feels a little like flying is a hit with me.

Also not meant to instigate, but notice our respective registration dates. I've actually been a member longer. Granted, I'm a lurker - but hey, now I've got something to talk about! Sorry if something went against your grain.

Nope, they jerked those out in a hurry. Everyone has mixed feelings about it but I think it's probably for the best. Some retail stores I've talked to even said they had to send back their old stock of FS2k to be patched. That may just be bs but nonetheless, that's what they said.

i was just wondering because i heard something of a flight sim game with the towers and they were all recalled. i was just wondering if ms would do the same thing. i dont think they should have, but i do respect thier decision.

Anyways, I just wanted to say that I got Ace Combat 4, and it's awesome! It has a perfect blend of arcade and flight sim components. Really fun and the graphics are amazing.
