Seven Dwarves

I got the Snow White DVD along with all the lil knick-knacks from the Disney Catalog. I decided it would be a good idea to give that to my parents and buy them all seven plush dwarves.

The first mall I went to had only 6. The assistant there said they only make 6 dwarves. They don't make Sleepy. Why in the world would they only make 6??? Second mall I go to has Sleepy but not Dopey...and the assistant there also said they only make 6 dwarves and they don't make Dopey. What the heck is wrong with these ppl??
So finally at another mall I find all seven dwarves and buy the whole lot.

So when I get home I notice that 5 dwarves have bean bag butts and 2 have soft plushy butts. What gives?? And I notice that Disney differentiates them by where the stick the paper tag into (on the hand = bean bag butt, on the hat = soft plushy butt). No where on the paper tag does it mention one is soft butt and bean butt.

Now I'm hunting for either 5 soft plushy butty dwarves or 2 bean bag butt dwarves. And it's come to my attention that they have the same dwarves without paper tags at all and just have SKU printed on the fabric tags.

Sorry they're giving you such the run around. Does it make a difference what kind of butt the stuffed doll has? I'm sure you're parents will appreciate them no matter what.

what a pain. disney tends to make 8 different lines of NEARLY but NOT QUITE exactly the same thing, so that collectors have to buy them all, i guess. i know this only because my mom bought my son a set of classic pooh beanie babies, which quickly became his magic happy-sleepy toys - he can't fall asleep without one of their arms hangin out of his mouth. so, when he was about one, i realized that they were gettin pretty ratty and i'd better have a back-up set in case the current ones fell apart. so first i go to the disney store, only to find that they only make their beanies for about 6 months or a year and then discontinue them just so ppl feel an urgent need to buy them NOW, before they disappear. so then i started scouring ebay, and damned if there weren't a zillion different sets that all looked almost-but-not-quite right. one set was only sold at disneyland, one set was only sold at disney world, etc... i did finally get an exact match (for $40 friggin bucks!) but what a pain. disney is so WRONG.

Beanie Babies are the same. I collected them for a very short while for my son when he was a baby. And some have one type of pellet and some have another depending where they are made (who has the contract). Disney beanies are made right along side of the Ty beanies so it really don't surprise me that some are made one way and others another way. Some are worth more than others because of what is inside.

Sigh...Disney is so wrong.
Oh well...I like saying 'Bean bag butt' anyways.
Those dwarves are heavy too.

I wonder if I could get a bean ag butt installed on all of my pants. that way I'de be cofortable wherever I sit. hmm...I'm gonna look into that....
