That song always reminded me of "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix . . . at least the opening riff

a lot of pearl jam reminds me of hendrix. a lot of rhcp for that matter. any guitar that sounds like little wing, the wind cries mary, castles made of sand, etc....which is a lot of stuff.
have you heard the tibetan freedom concert version? its awesome. its just eddie singing and a guitar. so lovely. its one of the few live versions of songs that i like.

Not really...since Eddie Vettar changes the words everytime he performs this song. Also, the lyrics are literally un-intelligible on the album version. I don't doubt that these are "close" to what you heart, but good luck ever REALLY figuring stuff out.

vettar? heart? do you always replace d's with t's or do you just not know how to spell his name?
and you can tell that these are the lyrics to the album version if you read along and listen carefully. but yeah, the tfc version of this song is a lot different lyric-wise.

Sorry. My bad. I knew a guy named Tuvi (actually Tuvia, but he went by Tuvi for short). Anyway, chill out. (Gender neutral) That was my point.

i would, too! can you imagine being eddie's brother? everyone wanting to use you to get to your brother...has to be rough.
even worse would be the jimmy vaughan deal. can you imagine...peeps would be all "you're stevie ray's brother? wow! he was one of the greatest guitar players ever!...[monotone, cheap acknowledgement]oh, and you play, too[/monotone, cheap acknowledgement]." couple that with the fact that stevie was his younger brother and achieved fame first...can't be easy.
(and yes, i know that jimmy vaughan is a great player in his own right...it was an example)
