I know this is a wrong forum. I just installed Imesh and my computer is practically worthless now. How can I get it back to normal? My programs wouldn't open. My desktop would disappear. I can hardly open anything.

You probably have exe misassociated. Do you see the normal icon when you see an EXE file?

mysterX, what operating system are you running? If you're on WinME or XP, I think you can use the system restore feature, or are you unable to get in windows at all?

I'm running Window NT. It's my work computer too. I'm gonna hear it Monday if the IT guy finds out. :(
OK here's what I did.
I downloaded Ad Aware and scan my drive and remove all the spyware. Now I'm able to go in control panel "add/ remove program. However there's this one cd_clint.dll shows up(not in my drive)when I try to remove it.The funny thing is that Imesh and all it's spyware are not even in my hard drive anymore. Worst of all, this folder called ft_app is in my C drive and unable to remove it. I am able to open my desktop again. But, when I open IE and Explorer, it take likes 20 seconds for execution. Am I doing something wrong here?

oooooooo... myster X be careful with imesh.

you gotta make sure you dont get ne viruses from that thing (unless you got a firewall or good virus protection) cause its pretty much a free for all on what you download.

If yorue downloading music.. make sure its the appropiate size (5k probably isnt more than a virus) and stuff like that

youre a smart guy so you probably know this stuff though;)

mysterX, cd_clint.dll is a file used by Cydoor, a banner advertising company, to load up banners and other beautiful advertisements. Ad-aware should be able to remove it no problem but I guess it didn't. I, for one, am not familiar with win NT but I know there are a lot of us here on the boards that are. So I'm guessing that the only problem now is that your system is very sluggish, I'm guessing its because of the cd_clint.dll. If you were to look in c:\winnt\system32 you should find the cd_clint.dll. Now I'm not sure if deleting it right then would solve the problem because most likey the registry will be calling for it, so you should do some registry work too. Sorry, I'm not much help but I'm not sure how to use Win NT. As for your other problem, the ft_app folder, I haven't the slightest of what that is. Good luck though.

Actually Ad-Aware did remove it. But, when go into "add/remove" programs under setting and try to get rid of Imesh for good, cd_clint.dll shows up and I get a message like "cd_clint.dll not found unistall will not continue. Guess I'm try using system restore on Monday. Lets hope I won't screw up further. Thanks for your help.

I dont think Win NT has system restore, you want me to email you a copy of my cd_clint.dll and maybe you can just uninstall the whole thing?

I'm running it on a LAN. I'm not sure myself. Please email the cd_clint.dll. Thanks. I'll let you know the deal on Monday after a round of lashing by the IT guy. :D
