I was once driving on the highway and noticed something strange about a "new" beetle ahead of me - it had what looked sorta like two little horns sticking up on the top at sides of front of the roof. It was a light pink color. As I got closer, I noticed a spiral "tail" sticking on the "trunk", and that the "horns" were ears. I was a pig-mobile (Pigswagon?). :heh:

This type of car might be popular in Washington, with the hogs fans.

No they do sell for around 20, the reason mom's was 30+ was because she got the loaded turbo....

Hoo boy - if you paid 30k for a bug, you got taken to the cleaners, my friend. From Carpoint:

2001 Volkswagen New Beetle
Retail Price Range $15,900 - $21,175

Even when I added every option available to the turbo model, it still capped out at about 24k.

Unless, of course, you upgraded to the Pikachu model...

Look at the options of the Pikacu model:

"Nintendo 64, color TV and VCR. Horn goes "PIKA-PIKA", car was mostly trailered, under 1,000 miles, Official Nintendo car. "

I especially like that the horn goes PIKA PIKA, chicks dig that.

I've seen a bettle that was red and it had black dots on it...it looked like a lady bug.

I dunno if that thing is one of a kind, but either way, I just saw a Pikachu Beetle on my way back from lunch . . . it was on the back of a flatbed trailer going down 57th street just West of Broadway.

Capped out @ 24k+ taxes and other stuff, she also got rims and tiers so that alone is about 1.5k
