My dd has a bunch of Trojan files that I'm having a hard time trying to delete. The system is HP, ME and they are located in C:/_restore/archives. I get a message saying access is denied, file may be in use. Any help is appreciated:) Thanks so much!!

boot from a disk.........maybe the trojan will not load in memory.
then maybe you can delete it

or boot to DOS mode and delete from there, can you specify which trojans or you don't know? I think that ME put it in along with its system restore files.

if the trojan is load in memory and if you don't boot from a floppy wouldn't you still have problem?

Unless it infected the boot sector or is setup to run from the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, he should be able to remove the files.
