Well to start my morning I drove to school at 6AM so my brother and I could go in the same car. I was trying to sleep in my cramped car when my uncle (mom's brother) gives me a call at 7:30AM asking me to bring my dad's winter suit to his house. I was thinking WTF? Why do you need the suit? Then he drops the bombshell. He asks if I've heard yet? I was like heard what? He tells me my grandmother (mom's mother) had passed no sooner than thirty minutes ago.
We all knew this was bound to happen, especially in her condition (aneurism and diabetic), but just a week ago my mom had told me that she was doing fine. Well now we know she wasn't.
The weird thing is that my mom's youngest sister had just arrived from LA to Korea. She was there with my grandmother for exactly one hour before my grandmother passed away.
So I called my dad to see what suit he wanted that he left at my house when he left for Korea three months ago and asked him if I could go. He tells me which suit he wanted. He tells me not to come, he also told me that everything is so crazy that my mom had to take a bus because there are no train or plane tickets available. Everything is happening so quickly.
I'm bummed as hell because I can't go. And so I come back home from school to get the suit to my uncle who's leaving in two hours. Then my aunt (mom's sister) calls and tells me that I need to come over to her store to help her out with some problems. I go and end up spending about two to three hours there. Her husband is pissed she's leaving the store and him for a few days when they had just let go an employee, but that's just another problem.
I go home, weep some, sleep some, and go back to school for my only class, for which I had woken up at 5:30 AM for and it's at 2:30. I get there, finish class at 3:45 and tell the prof that I might be gone (knowing well that my dad told me not to come). He tells me the makeup quiz I was supposed to turn in on Monday can be put off but I tell him I'll do it anyway that I can. (I had missed this particular class for the last two weeks).
Well to make a long story short. My aunt wants me to go with her so she's gonna pay half the ticket. My dad doesn't want me to come tommorow and he doesn't know I'll be coming. I turn on my computer to find that a Trojan (wnad.exe) has been in my system since 10/20/01. Yes I know the world isn't ending. But a good friend and I always say that the s**t never stops. And just when you think it will stop, BOOM, it hits the hardest. This semester was suppossed to be my easiest semester because it's my last semester. But life is getting to be just to much. It really does pour when it rains.
