I went to the movies last night with my neigbhor and all around hanging out buddy and we only had a few choices....I wanted to see Training day but she was totally against it..(and since it was HER night to pay she got to choose the movie)..so it left us a choice of Riding in Cars with Boys-which i heard was good and Corky Romano which I heard NOTHING about...well she chose Corky Romano and let me tell you-my sides hurt from laughing so much. Chris Kattan was funny from the first scene of the movie..There is one scene in particular with cocaine that almost made me piss myself...has anyone else seen it?

I haven't, but I want too. The problem is that those SNL movies are so hit or miss...

Actually, I think those SNL movies have been nothing but miss. Though from what I've seenin the ads, Corky could be a step up. Its not based on an SNL skit, right? Its just a guy from the show in a movie?

It's not a skit, but there supposed to be elements from the show. When I said SNL movie, I meant any movie with an former SNL cast member in it.

I loved the first Waynes World movie! The second one was horrendous, tho. And what about the Blues Brothers! Didn't that start as a skit on SNL?

Those are some of the good ones. Bad ones: Stuart Saves His Family, Superstar, The Ladies Man.

I dunno. I really have no patience with stupid-humor movies like is typical from SNL stars. That preview scene where he says "You guys want some cookies?" really set the tone for my whole opinion. If more people recommend it I'll give it a shot, but for now I'll pass.

Any movie with an ex-SNLer (i.e. Adam Sandler) are pretty good.

However movies with stars who are on SNL at the time are USUALLY horrible.

I also loved Superstar. Night at the Roxbury was horrible, but I was lured into to rent it at the store because of the shiny cover on the video. I love Adam Sandler movies, with Billy Madison being my favorite. Tommy Boy was hysterical! But then I'll admit, I have horrible taste in movies, at least thats what I've been told.
