OK my first poll people lets keep it simple.
Out of the choices, which video card would be in your system?

I think the kyroII is a good card for the price, I'm gonna get it soon for my sho.gun PC (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32597) :P
GeForce3 Ti 500 all the way. I'm a gamer.

DVD playback is a must for me... gaming comes way after that. Need I say more? ATI for me.

I hate ATI. My system will never have an ATI card in it! Kyro is ok, but the GeForce is the way to go.

oh, and UT Memo... I should have also added that I am starting to get into video editing... Ati just seems to have a lot more options and quality all around... but hey, gamers run the market!!!

krups! All you gf3 lovers, wanna share some $$$:naughty:? They go for over $300..., and I thought $86 for a Kyro2 was expensive...
Well sho.gun I'm willing to spend money to get a top performing card.
I voted for GeForce3 Ti 500. Right now the Ti500 costs too much compared to its competition. I'll wait until after the mid-November release of the 8500 drivers to decide which card to get. Hopefully by then the Ti500 will be more widely available with cheaper price.
When it comes to DVD playback and video options ATI does have it over Nvidia cards.
The one person who voted for dont need one is a WebTV user. :o :heh:
Ya but the DVD playback of an ATI card compared to a Geforce Card is minimal. DVD's look bad ass on Geforce cards as well. And for video editing, a real good video editing card is just wayyyyyyyyyyy too expensive. I don't know, I just like the whole NVIDIA company a lot more. But of course, it's just an opinion.

Yeah, but I've seen DVDs on friends' GeForce 2's and TNTs and for some reason (it could be other environmental factors) they just look duller than the Matrox and Ati cards I've seen... I don't know how to explain it- the movies just don't look the same. One friend came and watched the Matrix on my computer and thought it had been digitally remastered or something. He didn't realize the video could look that good... dunno, just my experiences...
Also, though, price is a factor... I've never really had the money to shell out more than $100 or so for a card. Gotta get the best for the money!!!

didnt notice this before, but why did you put the option "dont need one"? i mean, even if yours is on board, you still have one, right?
well, my choice is ati radeon all-in-wonder. cant wait till the 8500 AIW comes out and the price goes down. i use almost all of the features, although i do wish it was a better gaming card. i wish there was a mobo with 2 AGP ports, then i would get an nvidia card and an ati aiw card.:D

Yah, no kidding. Why couldn't someone make a MoBo with 2 AGP slots anyway?

Do you have one already? If not, get a Good Geforce 3 and you can overclock it to Ti500 speeds. Abit is one of the best overclockers. Their card just came out recently....really late. [H]ardOCP was able to get it clocked higher (mem AND core) than a Ti500 with stock cooling. Looking @ Pricewatch it is $300.
