Because I live in Arizona, we don't have daylight time. We refuse to follow the lemmings in the rest of the world! We will NOT change our clocks! We will NOT! You all can change your clocks to accomodate OUR schedule!

I've got a neat travel alarm that syncs up with the atomic clock every night (so it stays real accurate. I guess it knows from the atomic clock when to switch to/from daylight savings time, too.
Come to think of it, I got that clock "free" from CyberRebates back in the days when things were reasonable there. :)

Don't forget MLK day dbax...oh wait that's right! Arizona doesn't acknowledge that either! :P
Ok sorry for the lowblow. I used to live in Sierra Vista for a year so I should be allowed to complain :) Hell, atleast you can carry a pistol with you wherever you want!:johnwoo2:

Besides... it messes up my "normal" TV viewing schedule (for national broadcast programs not on the "major networks).
Not having DST SUCKS!
i visited one of my best friends at Notre Dame once a couple of years go. I thought it was the coolest thing because when I went out to South Bend, I was in a different time zone then all my friends. But when I left South Bend, it was in the same time zone. (I went over the weekend of the time change) It was definitely odd tho

Hey, there are a lot better reasons not to live in AZ (heat, scorpions, etc..), but I want to clear up a few misconceptions...
1) Arizona DOES have a state MLK holiday (passed in 1992)
2) The NFL pulled the Super Bowl in 1991 or 1992, because we did not have a holiday. However, what most people don't know is that there were 2 separate propositions for a holiday on the ballot and the vote was split due to the confusion. The majority of people here support an MLK Holiday.
3) Shortly after the NFL pulled the Super Bowl, a radio station here called the NFL offices on MLK day...the hypocritical NFL offices were not observing the holiday.
Yeah, I'd be pissed too if a state failed to recognize the holiday, and we probably deserve some backlash from the original vote debacle, but we've passed the holiday and I want to make sure that people know that we are no longer a "holdout" state.

(It was a nasty stain on the record, but I'm glad it's gone along with the the Confederate flag atop the Georgia capital...now on to North Carolina!)
Does NC still have the confederate flag? I didn't know that. Also I thought it was South Carolina that was the confederate flag holdout??? or am I mistaken???
Jeez, I just can't understand why folks would still want to fly that thing, I mean, besides the racial insensitivity - they lost the freakin' Civil War! It's like waving a flag on your building that says "We're freakin' losers and proud of it!"

I go to school at Purdue, about an hour north of Indy, so I have all those lovely problems too....

Yeah, when I was a freshman I used to miss so many shows because I couldn't figure out when they were coming on. Plus it takes like an hour to explain the television schedule to anyone unfamiliar with it.
People fly the Confederate flag because to them it means pride in Southern heritage.
Should the Confederate flag be removed from state flags? Yes because it was a in your face move done to spite people.

Hey dbax my bad man I thought Az was still holding out. I lived there in '95 and I thought it was still an issue. My apologies. Where in Az are you from by the way?
