I'm at home for a couple days and was wondering how I could transfer all these great MP3's I've found over to my place at school. The computer doesn't have a Zip drive or a CD burner. So I think the only way will be to upload them on to some sort of online storage space and downloading them when I get back to school. The 3GB storage space at winamp.com is no longer working and myplay.com is no longer taking new registrations. Any ideas?

Maybe I could borrow someone's FTP space? I have about 500-600MB of songs. HELP please?

How about a million floppies?

Well, you could just take the harddrive with you or even better get one of those removable harddrive bays. :)

There used to be some sites that would give you 50 Meg of free storage, but I think most of them disappeared when the dotcom bust hit.

sorry i dont have any time to browse through the list right now, but here is a Yahoo listing (http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Communication_and_Information_Management/Internet_and_World_Wide_Web/Personal_Information_Management/File_Hosting/)

[EDIT] try KTurn (http://www.kturn.com). they claim 125mb free space. havent tried it though

[EDIT 2] also try FreeDrive (http://www.freedrive.com). i have used them before, but i think they have gotten a little slow. also, i think they only allow 50mb. But they do have a program which will allow you to set up a drive in windows explorer so you can drag and drop files. this can be a good help for backing up. yahoo also provides a similar service: Yahoo! Drive (http://drive.yahoo.com). Good Luck.

mmmm, there are also tripod, geocities, etc...
just zip as many as you can into a single file into tripod or something...(i think it's 50 megs).....
the thing is, they won't let you download it (i don't think) with a .zip extention...so just name it as a .jpg...
when you get it back to school, dl it, rename it .zip and unzip..

so, if you got 500-600 megs...that's like 10-12 accounts? :)

I've tried doing that on tripod....with a .mp3 extention..

I also thought about creating 150 Yahoo Mail accounts and e-mailing them all to myself. naaa~ :P

I'm trying Kturn.com which TommyBoomfiger suggested. So far they're free, 125MB and the sign up for each account is suprisingly easy. I haven't ectually uploaded anything yet, but if it works this should be perfect. I'll only need 4 accounts. I'll let you know how it goes. thanks for everybody's info.
