So I know 99.9% of you won't relate to this problem but here goes.
I took the puppy out for a walk this am. Come back home. Puppy goes to sniff wall, and I see a scorpion hangin' out there. I feel bad because I screamed like a banshee "NO! LEAVE IT! OUTSIDE NOW!" (because it wasn't puppy's fault). Put puppy outside. Got my trusty golf putter and crushed that little bugger...
I'm just ticked because it's almost November and the latest I have ever seen a scorp was July. It's just been too damn hot this year..
Now I have to check my sheets before I go to bed. Sux!:thumbdown
But this is what I did to the rotten scorp: :smash:

Ay.. you killed it? Are you nuts? Now the scorpion god (The Rock) is gonna come after you.
I was in a small tropical island in Honduras once for a mission trip, and they had these small outhouses that serves as the pee/poo station for everyone. The thing is about 4X4 ft with only a tiny toilet thing in the middle. Well one night I went in there to relieve myself, and after I finished I turned around to open the door. Lo and behold, mr. 5 inch or so scorpie was eyeing me all that time, the perv... So I took a coffee can thing they keep there to flush the toilet, pushed and slid it down the door. I got out, then I ran away. I left the scorpion in the can, surprise for the next person.

So Dbax that's how it is over there in Zona huh? Aren't scorpions supposed to be deadly?? I can't understand how you can live with those things crawling around the house... I'm having some very minor ant problems and that alone makes me want to move out this very second.

Naah, they are pests but not really deadly. Actually I think the last recorded scorp death in AZ was in 1991 or something. I don't really get to many of them (1-2 per year) but they are annoying little buggers....
Yeah, and if my house was infested with them, I'd prolly move, but like I said I only get 1-2 per year, so I can deal with that.
Mostly they go after pets - dogs and cats, but even so, most dogs can withstand several stings and still survive. Not sure about little kitty-cats, though...

Oh, sorry forgot to post this in my reply...
I know about 3 people who have been stung by scorps and they all didn't even get sick...

Man, one thing for sure is that you've never seen a Honduran scorpion that lives in a tropical island before. You do not want to mess with them, they're all buff and who knows they probably have laser equipped stingers and whatnot.
Oh, as a side story, also when I was in Roatan, Honduras. We had to go to a meeting one night and I was on my bed. So I got up and I wasn't able to find my socks so I just put my shoes on and started walking. 5 seconds later, I felt the twitching next to my toes, then I quickly took off my shoes and out falls the biggest spider I've ever seen. It was all hairy, aaaaaah it was huge. Remember, I wasn't wearing socks and I killed it with my bare foot. sho.gun <-- brave (not) hero.

That spider incident gives me the shivers everytime I think of it, I mean imagine a huge tarantula in your shoe and you are wearing that shoe without socks, hell i'd still freak out if I was wearing socks. ugh... :shiver:

Ha Ha, It's funny because I'm not really afraid of tarantulas at all. I see them all the time when I'm hiking w/my dog. Although, I hafta yank the leash when the pup gets near them. They're kinda cute, in a furry, sick sorta way...
I just don't like scorps!

I spent a summer in TX at my grandfather's house dealing with scorpions. I found the first one in the house and I had no problem shaking out all of my shoes, clothes, bedding, and anything else I could shake. I firmly believe that I can and should kill anything with more than four legs that I find in my house. I hate spiders and the idea of a spider with a stinging tail is just too much.
My grandparents built a house a few years ago out in the sticks and for first year they were everywhere. Well one day i was over there visting and I look up and this damm scorpion is falling from the ceiling into my eye!!

We're all outcasts, welcome to the family. Right guys? Huh? Alright the weirdest thing is happening right now as I type this, I'm using a school library comp and the mouse cursor is moving up and down by itself. I'm not touching the mouse, up, down. I'm not joking this is weird.
