View Full Version : damn cops that think they own the road...

so im driving home, minding my own business... and i see this car merge onto the highway, with a cop SMACK dab on its tail.
i keep watching, and the car gets over, and then the cop floors it, STILL in the merging lane, and pases the other car (which goes ahead and kinda gets forced into the next lane over).
so, i pick up a little speed, cause now i'm curious. I'm not fast enough (or not trying THAT hard heh.) well, hes all running up on people way down there, making quick lane changes back and forth, (you know, like some rude person trying to get in the faster lane, which slows down as soon as they get in it so they switch back).
then he runs up on another car, and then merges into the far right lane JUST before his exit, which happens to be the same as mine.
well, i catch up to him (redlight). Then we both turn left (two lanes turning). Hes all WAY up on the car in front of him, just jammin the brakes and gas like 3 times (his car is just jumping forward, then hes slammin the brakes cause traffic is just moving a little slow).
well, then he guns it around that guy, and swerves back into his lane. Then, we get to a stoplight, and me and him are neck and neck again, and i've been driving very normally. So i write down his plate number (3-47580 - so i can remember it). Well, he keeps doing this stupid stuff for another mile until he finally breakes free (in a 40 zone) and just guns it like his wife's about to pop out a baby or something. Musta hit at least 65 or 75 in the 40.
So i keep following, even though i'm passing my Apt. entrance... He gets out of sight, but since this road lead straight to the Air port, i keep on going. Finally i get up there, and i slow way down and just idle through the arrivals, and notice 3 cop cars, and 2 cops standing there. As i pass the first car, i notice his plate numbers match what i wrote down. And then the guy gets out of his car, carrying his supper, and walks over and talks to his buddies.
if it hadn't been the Airport, i would have stopped and asked for his badge number.
Either Way, i think i'll call the local precinct and lodge a complaint. Not like it'll do anything, but hey, i'll feel better. I'm SICK AND TIRED of COPS driving wrecklessly and doing the same **** that we get pulled over for. the LAW applies to THEM as well as ME. Dammit.

maybe he was pissed cause the donut guy gave him the wrong order of chocolate filled instead of strawberry jelly.

first time I hear someone complain about it and to the precinct.
Well if they do do something :D if not I guess I won't be to surprise.

I saw a cop do similar things 2 times at the same freeway exit. Once time, he was speeding all the way to the exit. There are 2 left turn lanes at the exit and I always get in the right left turn lane because it will put me in the right lane of that street so I can turn right at the next cross street (Got it? :D). Well, that is a popular way to go and you see people in the left left turn all the time merging over to the right once they turn becuase they need to turn right at the next street. Well, the cop was in the left left turn lane and I knew he was going to get over. He did, but with out a signal and any closer he would have hit my front bumper. BIOTCH!!
they are cops...what can you say?
its just as bad when because free-way traffic is going to "slow" at 65mph..that they merge into the Carpool lane and they are the only ones in the car.

Because the cop got in an accident, I believe you are allowed to request another cop to come to the scene and evaluate it. (good luck that will do though)

most cops will call someone else in. how do i know? cause my brother got into an accident in his cruiser. it was his fault, tho the guy he hit ended up being drunk. he called in, and they sent someone out to the accident.
not all cops are arseholes who speed up and down the streets. but then, i come from a somewhat small suburb where i know all the cops (my brother has been a cop since i was 6). law enforcement runs in the family- my grandfather was a captain in the boston police and both my brother and brother-in-law are cops.

i know they all arent that way.
i have two friends that are cops, and another trying to enroll.
1 guy is NOT an arsewhole
the other, wel, hes a nice guy and all, but hes young, and hes always talking about getting someone real good cause they did something little that pissed him off and stuff. i dont doubt he speeds everywhere either... after all, he used to fly around on his bike doing 90-110 on the highway all the time.

Yeah, some cops are just meanies. On night me and Dopey were out driving around aimlessly and a cop decided that they didn't want to stop at the red light almost hit us. It was NOT fun

The law says that motorcycles, Ultra Low emission vehicles, and emergency vehicles (cops, ambulance, fire, etc) can all use the carpool lane without any passengers.

Hmmm... well if I ever got into an arguement over an "accident" with the "Police", I think I would call the "Sheriff" or a deputy to make the evaluation...
At least they aren't part of the same "squad" and probably be a lil bit more "objective" (I would hope)
i guess it all depends on where you are. i think i was spoiled growing up in westwood, where the cops are all pretty much objective. there really aren't any deputies or sheriffs around either. you could probably get a state trooper, but they aren't real close to town.

Also, whenever u see the state police driving in the highway...they're the fastest ones...and u kinda have to move for them (they never switch lanes to pass you)
well, there was one rainy night, 2 lane highway, i was driving and there were 2 trucks in front of me really close. All of us trying to pass some slow folks on the right.... Doin about 70-75...
then, a car pulls up really close to me....and I think, he's too close and i don't feel comfortable, so i move over to the right, behind the car we were all trying to pass...
the guy who was behind me now pulls up really close to the tractor-trailer in front of me.....I notice it was a cop :).
So, for like 2-3 minutes....the tractor trailer doesn't move....even after passing the slowpoke.....ofcourse...the cop ain't goin around the truck to pass him, so he turns on his lights and pulls the truck over. :D
