heh . . . I thought my Halloween was going to suck tonight . . . I just got home from work (I'm in NYC) . . . knew early that my Halloween party plans were screwed . . . so when the 7th inning ended, I figured I had to go to a bar to watch the end of the game, then head back to work. Between the time I left work and the time I got the bar, the Yanks were down 2-1 . . . by the end of the Top of the 8th, they were down 3-1. I started thinking maybe it was a mistake to just make my evening longer and longer by sticking around instead of going back to work . . . but I stuck around . . . and damn if that didn't make my night . . . made me glad I didn't get to go party, cuz then I would have missed it!

What a damn fine game... thats what the series is all about... the way is should be. Glad to see its not another 4 game sweep for the yanks, although I am rooting for em...

This is the way Baseball SHOULD be: exciting, unpredictable and most of all YANKEES WINNING!!!
Wahoo for Yankees!
Wahoo for Yankees!
And here I was thinking that by wearing my Boston costume yesterday I jinxed the Yankees! Thank GOD that wasnt the case!

geeze why do people rail on the yankees so much if your teams are good enough to beat them THEN BEAT THEM and if your team cant then dont complain they win because they have the best pitching abd the best hitting in the playoffs they know how to win and they do it.

yeah, and its also about markets - small market teams just can't compete with a 'complete' team like the Yankees cause they don't have the money..
I guess I can't complain cause i'm a mets fan, but living in Pittsburgh, and now Baltimore...I've been rooting for these smaller market teams as well, and...man, its tough...
oh, and i was really really really hoping this thread was gonna go unnoticed after the 2run hr and some yankee fan would start their rant, but...thanks DF for bringing out my folly :P

I'm not a fan of either team (though I lean toward AZ mainly because I want to see Mark Grace get a series), but I am glad that it has turned into a real competitive series.
