Those are still on the original manufacturer's trays, so obviously customers never touched them. My guess is that they are just part of a bad batch and someone decided to have a little fun. Nice welcome mat!

Ohh, I didn't know those were the original manufacturer's trays.
Once covered in some plexiglass or other, those would make a neat lil' welcoming mat:).
