They look like just another flash-in-the-pan angst ridden Nu-metal band to me, but I just learned something intriguing about them.
They're from Springfield, MA, where I grew up! For those who don't know, this amazes me because Springfield is a butt**** nowhere city in Western MA that has absolutely NO music, or any other cultural scene of any importance at all. To think someone from my hometown is now all over the airwaves. Just amazing.
(ok, Springfield does sport the Basketball Hall of Fame, but that's ALL it has going for it. Trust me. It's nickname is "the city of homes," fer chrissakes!)

actually, Staind isn't that new. They've been around for a couple of years. Aaron Lewis, their lead singer, is a great song writer so I think they'll have some more hits. He writes real stuff about his own life so it sounds good. He doesn't just look for songs to write for hits. I like that in a band. BTW, do youknow Aaron Lewis?

I went to summer school way back in high school once at this place called Northfield Mount Hermon. Back then, when you go shoppin or want to have a good time Springfield, Mass was the place to be!! Tells you what a happenin town this school was in.
