Problem with AMD XP processor

Hi guys, my friend is putting together a new computer with an AMD 1500+ xp processor, but we can't even get it to post. We already tried multiple video cards and motherboards and we always get the same result, I even tried using my 1 gig 200 fsb processor. Does any one know what the problem might be?

If you can't get it to post, most likely the ram is dead or its not in slot 0 or 1 depending on the mobo. Make sure you got the ram secure and in the first slot.
