Pesky Network Problem

Ok. I have been having problems with my network every so often. It seems like it just completely stops responding for roughly 30 seconds althought it has happened for hours a few times before. Very freaking annoying when playing computer games online. Everything is hooked up to my SMC Barricade 7004ABR Router. I know it is not just my cable modem because I went even let me acess the network and if I unplug the router and just hook one pc directly to the cable modem everything is fine. I have flashed the router with the latest ROM as well. Does anyone else have this problem with this router or any idea what could be causing it, maybe a setting?

Could possibly be the hardware itself. . . I have the same model except with the wireless addon 7004awbr and it works fine. What os'es you got all networked together?

My main machine that I use constantly is running Windows 98SE. My laptop which I recently got is Windows XP. I have another computer running Windows ME and one other comptuer running Windows 98SE. As soon as I notice the lock up on my main comptuer, I check the other ones and they aren't able to access internet or network either. This is a random thing. It's not constant, maybe a few times a day.
