Playstation 2 price drop

Has anyone gotten any word of weather sony will drop the prices of their ps2? During this season to be totally whipping out their competition or it won't happen until later? Details anyone?

I haven't heard of anything, but it makes sense of them to drop it to royally screw over M$. I think what might happen is sony drops to around $249.99 or so, being $50 cheaper than xbox but a lil' more than gamecube still. I see this happening since Japanese are very loyal to their own company products. One reason why i see x-box failing, anyhow, time will tell as usual in the video gamin industry.

HEHE I'll Agree and it's going to be hard to have a lot of the japanese companies supporting a US console rather then a japanese made I believe. And I don't want to have to buy MS SHIET!!!!!!! I like Sony and Nintendo better but Sony just have taken me away after the ff series hehe they have my soul hehe Wish I won my pool tournament today though would have won a ps2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 oh well need to buy one now

Sony has said that no price drop is happening this holiday season. Maybe sometime next year.
