So here is the story, i was parked yesterday while i went to eat sushi, and when i get home i see something on the roof of my car about an inch away from the sunroof. So i try to take a closer look and i see a dent, and the paint is gone, the dent is about as big as a penny, which causes me to belive that some A$$hole droped something outside of the window of their appartment with an intension to crack my sunroof. GOd damn bastards i want to rip their little arms off and shove one up his A$$ and another down his throat so they can meet and greet with a hand shake

now i have to do something about it, because that thing is gonna start to rust.:(

park your car out there again and wait in the bushes with a rock or a paintball gun or something and when they drop more of their chump change on your ride... you can let them know how you feel about it.

I'd go get an estimate from a body shop and ask them. They should give you a straight answer thinking you'll ask them to do it

I feel your pain brother. I had something bad happen to me too recently. I was waiting at a crosswalk for the pedestrian to finish walking. As soon as he's finished, he walks over to the side of my car and I hear a thump. I'm thinking, "Okay... He tapped my car with his hand." But then I see him start to bolt. I quickly pull my car over and see that there is a dent the size of a small pancake in my rear panel because that bastard smacked my car. At any rate, by the time I realized the damage was done, the guy was gone. So... I had my friend that owns a body shop hook me up. It ended up costing $600 to fix since they had to repaint the whole rear panel and metallic Mercedes paint ain't cheap.

No kidding. If I had provoked him or something, I guess I would've deserved it. But I was just sitting in my car minding my own business. The nerve of some people.

My dad used clear nail polish to cover up some scratched part on the car, at least it'll prevent it from rusting. I dunno though, epoxy might work too, the hard part is getting the matching paint. Good luck bro.

I don't know where you live Burzhui, but living in a college town my car get's so much sh*t to deal with too. There's a major parking epidemic here in Berkeley, and street parking is the only way to go if you can't afford the super high prices for a designated parking space. And there are so many more cars than there are spaces, so what ends up happening is that the parallel parkers park bumper to bumper and squeeze into the smallest spaces they can find. After a few weeks, you learn to live with a messed up bumper. Then you have the idiotic drunken frat boys whose favorite passtime is to mess with people's cars at night. One morning I found muddy foot steps all over the top of my car. I've found everything from icecream to raw eggs smeared all over my car. Heck, one morning I found a bed mattress sitting on top of my car!! And often I get my corner lenses all taken... driving is an expensive sport I must say.

Go to the dealership and get some touch-up paint, either spray or brush. If nothing else, that will hold you until you can get the car fixed right.

Also, I don't know about your insurance, but mine would consider that a hit and run and would pay for the repair without affecting my rates.

hey burzhui, do you live in chicago too?

man, this seems like a good week for this.

this morning my buddy got his car broken into, they stole his radio deck. had to wake up to a cop knocking on his door to tell him that he got broken into.

and then this afternoon, as i was leaving school, i noticed a scuffle mark on my back bumper (i usually don't mind knowing that chicago drivers can't drive or park, and that scuffle marks can rub off). but then upon further inspection i noticed that the paint is sorta chipped off meaning that the mother****er who hit my car was a total idiot and had some force behind it. that stunk.

i feel your pain. let's join/make a club. we'll go around hanging out by parked cars and kick people asses who **** with those cars

Sorry - I hate it when you find out people have vandalized you and you can't do anything about it.

One time I woke up in the morning, went outside, and found some a-hole broke into my car and stole my stereo. The jerk even left the work gloves he used behind. I was so ticked off!

But the story has a happy ending. I went down to my insurance claims office (State Farm by the way is IMO the best!). They fully reimbursed me for the original cost of the stereo, plus they waived the deductible b/c there was some scratch damage on the dash.

So I go down to the stereo store and get a better stereo (since I got reimbursed for the orignal purchase value). The installer comes out and tells me that the idiot forgot to take the internal pre-amp so the stereo that he stole was unusable! :heh: Next stereo-installer dude pipes the preamp in serial with my new stereo so I've got a better, louder stereo than before!

hahaha...hey for those of you who remember high school....the different classes (seniors, juniors, sophomores...) make homecomming floats. well this year, the seniors went and paintballed the freshmand and sophomore floats while they were working on them!! then we stole some of their stuff...best part is, those floats were in gated communities!

anyways, cant insurance cover this? someone chucked a rock at my friends windshield, i think they just paid the decudtible
