XP Questions

Ok. I have a few questions about XP. Sometimes the taskbar retracts to hide most of the icons and there is an arrow you have to push to expand it. When exactly does it do this? Because sometimes it is retracted and sometimes there isn't an arrow there at all. Also, on my laptop, I am getting a icon there that says "Safely Remove Hardware." When I double click it, it shows my Floppy Drive. It gives me an option to halt the drive so I can remove it. I don't think this used to show up there before, but I am not sure because the taskbar used to be retracted as mentioned above. Is there anyway for the Safely Removed Hardware crap to stop popping up because I have no plans on removing my floppy drive.

About the taskbar thing, XP hides the systray icons that have been inactive for a set amount of time. To show it again, you just click the arrow icon and your systray will expand. Basically it's a just a thing windows put to allow more taskbar room. As for the floppy thing... I haven't a clue.:confused:
