If you decide to order an inspiron 3800 from Dell, get it with 32 MB of RAM and a 4.8 GB HD. Then order a 128 MB Dimm (for 3800) from crucial ($125, shipped). Also grab a 12 GB hd from buy.com or computers4sure.com ($180, shipped).
You should save $180 on the RAM (and have an extra 32 MB) and $20 on the Hard Drive (and have an extra 4.8 GB).
