Regular gold spoke Daytons already cost a lot. Imagine what 30 inchers cost. Plus the cost of the tires... I can't imagine Pirelli manufacturing a whole lot of those.

:eek3: Man. . . what the hell is the point now. They might as well start taking airplaine wheels and slapping them on autos. It makes me shiver more in disgust that someone has even the thought of putting those on a truck  This is what those rims are gonna do after the first bump :splat:

With wheels over 17", cars really look stupid. They start looking like Matchbox toys.

this really depends on the car, suspension and wheel/tire combination. now, i dont recall ever seeing a car with rims over 20" that looked good, but i have seen a lot with 18s, 19s and 20s that look awesome. most cars dont, and they arent made to, but there are ways to do it right. most people do it wrong, they just think that they can just throw 20s with any tire that fits it and it will look good. its not that simple, you have to change parts of the suspension to fit it and the brakes in order to do this properly.

man I thought tires on my car was expensive, I would think one tire for those huge rims is around $400 or more

The only truck I think you could fit those 30" Daytons on would be a Hummer. That would look insane.

40" huh. all i can say is that is disgusting. imagine what kind of rotors you could put in there though. and with such a big contact patch, you could cut the stopping distance in half. if it doesnt flip over first
but i still want to see that 30" pic. anyone?

That's about as dumb as any vehicle could look like. This could be taken to a circus so that everyone could laugh at it.

OMG I'm blind. . . AAAAAAAAAAA. What kind of morons do we live with in this world!??! Hmm, greatest tip to ya lamers and overly exaggerated rims: Forget tires, why do you need rubbers for when you can just get rims to take up the whole wheel well. . . uggh, /me slaps epoxi for showing that in this forum

I just got the latest issue of Popular Hot Rodding. They had 18" and 20" wheels on some older custom cars. Really Gross!!... and these cars have big wheelwells. I hope this trend dies a slow death like fluorescent paints, murals and other weird patterns painted down the sides of cars.

I've seen 17s and 18s on early Camaros and it looked awesome. It all depends on how good your stance is. If the car is lowered 6 inches and sitting on airbags, big wheels look stupid. If its dropped an inch and a half and the wheels fit in the wheel wells, it looks great:

yeah most of the time larger RIMS don't look good on older cars, but like you said, if it is done right....

That Camaro does look nice. I would like to see a side view, if possible.
