Okay.. this is kind of a repost but from a different thread.

My question is just this. If I reach the limitations of the processor's fsb, is it still possible to overclock the chip higher by unlocking the multiplier?

you might be able to eek a few more mhz out, but yeah you pretty much hit the limit. Depends on the processor, if you got a axia 1.0 those things will hit like 1.5 and higher.

From what I've learned, you should modify the multiplier first and find its max. Once you've hit that, then you should gradually increase the FSB to a speed that is stable for you. Good luck. :)

Ohh.. okay, then it might be worth a try.

Hehe, I remembered, long after I posted this, that there was an Overclocking Forum... doh!!!

Oh well, it counts as hardware too!!!
