new sys ideas

since i got some nice $$$ fer my b-day i was thinkin about upgrading from the celery stick and making it a nice little server :D

This was what i was thinking about getting:

SHUTTLE AK31A
Athlon 1GHz 266 FSB
ddr ram (not sure which yet)
not sure on which HS/ delta fan/80mm or 92mm panaflo
GeForce2 MX400 64MB

i dont know what really else ive got enough $ to make a fairly powerful system

any ideas will help :D

Maybe you'd save some money going with a newer Duron... the ones with the Morgan core. :shrug:

haha... nvrmind.... just checked pricewatch. The 1 gig Tbirds are about $20 cheaper than the Durons...

ya i saw that ill just stick with the athlon and its bigger cache sizes
