I'm new to passwords and deifferent levels of user rights.
My friend has XP home version and when he sets up accounts that are limited in access they are limited right now.
Now, me running XP pro... when i set up an account with limited access, and then log in with it it can do anything as my account with Adminisrtor rights.
Anyone want to tell me me what I'm doing wrong, or tell me where these options are?
In administrators Tools there is a place to look at different account type levels but I have not found an option for changing access rights.
Please help me with your Suggestions.

Your question is sort of vague. If you set up an account with limited access, that account shouldn't be able to change crucial settings, but will be able to access most stuff on your comp. If you want to not allow the account to access certain files or programs, you have to edit that in the user settings or something like that. . .

Open the Control Panel. Double-click "User Accounts". Pick the account to change. Change the account type to limited. If you want to mess more directly with the user, use either "Computer Management" or "local security policy" in the administrative tools.

I guess what I mean is...
I would like to have certain stuff off limits to the common user, ie my email.
What I have encountered with pro is that there is no difference between my administrator account and my limited acount.
With the limited account i can access everything, administrator tools etc, as well asa the doceuments and files in my administrator account.
In the home version of XP, it is set up that so that there is drastic differenceses in the administrator and the limited.
So I need to know how to edit the group i think, how to make things not accessable, not neccisarly hidden.
thanks people, appreciate the feedback

Its kinda hard to describe it briefly but you have to associate each login with a type of user. And within those types of users you can control what is accessible.
