I am an idiot too! (Don't feel left out BrewMaster). I passed up 3 great Windows XP Deals, I guess I was busy studying.

Next semester I have to take my computer into a studio / lab environment. I beg someone who knows they won't use it to sell to me for a small profit. My University does not sell XP nor do they offer any price break on orders. I will paypal immediatley! No way do I want to buy a 299 version, if I know there is a great soul in these forums!

Please help our resident SEP.

If you were at the University of Pittsburgh you could get it for free!! Ok, nominal fee.

Actually, as a student you can purchase academic versions fairly cheap from numerous places, unfortunately, I can't think of any off hand.

You could also get a copy here,

I am also told there is a free devilsown copy floating around as well.

Well, if you get the Corporate edition, you can get around the online registration. But you still will have to be illegally duplicating your authorization code.

I put a word in for this thread in the deals forum, where someone was trying to "return" a copy of XP Pro. I don't know if anything will come of it.

I registered as an OfficeDepot cashier and went to OD's site to look up an OD store number to use. On a side note, my XP and lava lamp are coming today!
