IMO and experience, cd-r is a cd-r. Its the drive that makes the cd-r crappy. Of course there are exceptions, but just in general speaking terms.

When buying CD-R's just make sure they have an extra layer of protection over the data layer. I've bought some that had the silver stuff scratching off from the top of the CD, or some that even peeled off. :(

You can usually tell, if there's nothing printed on top of the CDs then most likely the data layer is not covered by anything.

i would rather pay for a product that I know wont screw up by being easily scratched, etc. I have had my troubles with scratched CDRs. I almost paid $350-$400 for a company to recover some data from a scratched CDR this summer.

well I just opened my pack and the feel of the CD-R is fine...
it doesn't seam cheap...
I have two Plextors so I don't think I am going to have a problem with these CD's...

did you send in your rebate form yet?
it said original form only..... do you think there will be a problem with sending in the pdf?

I haven;t mailed mine yet, but all I have is the PDF from staples.com....
it should be fine to send that form, I have in the past with out a problem :)

These Hi Tec Cdr are pretty good... silver bottoms.no problems for me.. but shouldnt be any problems to anyone.. they free!!!
