That brings back any memories..what would it be?
Everytime I smell cut grass it brings me back to looking out my window during the summer in the early evenings and watching my brothers cut the grass...also..Orange cool-aid..reminds me of this crap drink that my friend's mother used to give us after we rode our bikes.

sometimes i smell things that smell like my barbie kitchen. it smelled like cookies, or something. it didn't smell like anything "real" so its hard to describe.

also, there's another smell that reminds me of "moss man" - a HeMan character. i dunno if his name was really moss man though. i had the action figure and it just smelled really weird. i always want to tell people that i smell something that smells like moss man, but no one would understand.

the smell of leather reminds me of riding horses.

ahh i hate remembering my childhood...

My gramma's house, it always smelled so good, I don't know what it was, but it was like the smell of like happiness and love if that makes any sense, and after she died it all went away. :bawl:
And another is the smell of freshly baked blue berry muffins, it reminds me of the first time my friend and I got to
" bake " something by ourselves..hee hee hee it was great fun, somehow we got the batter on the celing

The smell of the wrestling mat cleaner we used in high school. For some reason that smell is one of the clearest memories I have.

Whenever I smell high-sulfur content well water, I am reminded of visiting my grandparents, where their house was fed by well water. We could never stand to drink anything there that was water-based.

chlorine (i spent all of my spare time at the town pool)
barbeque smells
fire in the fireplace- sitting in front of the fire on cold weekend nights and constantly getting yelled at to sit farther away from the hearth
homefries- every saturday, we would cut up the taters and onions and then my mommy would fry them up and they would be so tasty, so much better than what you can get at a restaurant.

the stinky smell of corned beef and cabbage will forever remind me of st. patricks day. yuck.

Well there is the smell and taste of my grandmothers cooking.

Nothing quite like it, it has a distinct taste that one knows and loves; after thinking about it, it most likely the secret ingredient of love she adds.

I also remember the smell of freshly laid asphalt. When I was 10 my friend and I would watch the construction workers pave the street. I can vividly remember him coming to my window at 7AM very excited that the steam rollers were being readied. HAHA oh the days. I wonder where Mike Calahan is these days. Last I knew we graduated HS and he was in some metal band. I guess he got a little to high on those asphalt fumes.

Smell is a very primitive sense. It is the most hardwired into our brains. You will find that you almost never forget a smell. That is why a scent can trigger an old memory.

Whenever I smell Hybiscus I remember the neighbors plant and playing with my friends when I was eight or so years old.

Orange juice reminds me of my grandmother, she would fresh squeeze orange juice for me. I remember when she poured a glass and one of the ice cubes in it exploded. The surprised "Oh!" that she made. The laugh we had about it. I was 10 or 11.

Orange peel reminds me of a perfect golden sunny day in Santa Anna when I was probably around 7 or so. I opened my window and picked a vallincia orange off the tree right outside. I remember scratching the peel and smelling it. Then I peeled it and ate it. There has never been an orange so sweet and juicy since then. Naval oranges are dry and watery compared to them.

I think that is the total sum of my happy childhood memories. Being a kid sucks.

:) i wish i have an orange tree out my window... instead I can see our lawnmower, and that huge spider web that's been there for months.
