Just got back from seeing a screening . . . I've never read any of the books, and just went in looking for an entertaining movie . . . and I got it. People who have read the books might be a bit disappointed . . . I dunno . . . movies tend to disappoint after reading the book . . . but I went with a few people who loved the books . . . and they loved the movie too.

I get to see it tonight. 10:30 showing, after some of the kids have gone to bed. But I know some bastard is going to bring his tired, cranky kids in ther to sit behind me and kick my seat.

I'm glad I went to see it . . . I'm not sure I would have gone if I had had to pay, but after seeing it, I realize it would be worth it. The story is fun, and the acting is pretty damn good . . . Alan Rickman is great.

That was the first movie I've seen without any type of romance whatsoever in a loooong time. I'm glad the directors didn't make the kids kiss or anyting.
