This morning upon retrieving my mail, I get a note from a GAY man in Italy who tells me he has a fondness for The Scottish Actor-Gary Lewis..(My fav actor besides MEL)..evidently, he is someone a friend of mine from work converses with in a chat room, and she passed my email along to him..isn't that kind of strange that you just email someone you don't know, announce your sexual orientation and then proclaim your love for a film star? LOL...Oh well-harmless enough I guess...just wierd.

albeit-most of them were bit parts/proverbial flash in the pan shots, you know..someone in a crowd shot somewhere-not big enough to get any kind of recognition on the main movie credits but somewhere in the roll throughs at the end of the films as "guy in the crowd"..but still pulling enough movie time to add to his resume....his biggest though was the part of the father in last years surprise hit-BILLY ELLIOT..I love this guy-he's just so damn scottish I could scream. (It's his chin, yeh, I'm a sucker for dimpled chins)..

anyway-if you get a chance to see ORPHANS (MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BRITISH ORPHANS AND NOT THE AMERICAN ONE) I recommend it..it's classic black comedy from the BBC...worth watching a few times to pick up all the humour, and East is East, in which he has a tiny part-in itself is a pretty damn funny movie..
