I know a few months ago many people reccomended InoculateIT from CA. but now that its program has been discontinued, I'd like to get a new VS. I've used mcafee and norton before but not recently. mcafee was ok, but didnt get all viruses and norton would often cause system instability. im using both win98se and win2k. any suggestions for a new AV? thanks ~ToMMy

Pick McAfee or Norton. They are the best out right now. Norton I think has more database updates too. Not sure what type of system instability issues you were having. I have norton on mine and never had a problem. Perhaps you were running the system works version? If so, just get the virus program, its all you really need.

Norton has been more stable as its engine is better fine tuned.
I would suggest that over McAfee. Norton's response to outbreaks is much faster than McAfee these days also.

Another vote for Norton from me, I've been using it ever since Win98 and it's worked great. Now that I have XP though, I'm going to have to get the 2002, bah... Although McAffee was kind enough to send me a really nice looking dartboard set, I still think Norton is better.
